Video: State of Modern Worship

"When I survey the state of modern worship in our culture, I see very little difference between worship ministry and the music industry." Thomas Terry, Lead Preaching Pastor of Trinity Church of Portland, gives a brief analysis of modern worship culture and makes an argument for simplicity and biblical truth.

This lecture was given at the Northwest Worship Conference in September 2022 at Hinson Baptist Church, an event sponsored by Western Seminary. The Northwest Worship Conference gathers worship leaders, music teams, sound techs, and pastors of local churches for the purpose of encouraging and sharpening each other in one thing— Helping our churches richly sing the Word of Christ.
